When stranded on a wintry night in the shrinking city of Karsberg the poet Ka does not only meet is first love Seide but also some difficulties. In this economically and socially neglected town most of the indigenous German population converted to Islam and replaced the state through the Ummah. In the small snowy town every single step of the stranger is monitored. When Ka is on a date in a confectionary he becomes a witness to a political murder and has to admit to himself that there are severe conflicts under the calm surface of Karsberg.
