English surtitles on June the 1st and the 2nd!
Thea is unable to find any peace of mind. She is troubled by the injustice of the world, the immigration policy, the happy life with her perfect boyfriend and the feeling of her own powerlessness. She is pregnant and does not know what to do with herself and her child. Her friend Marwa, who needed to leave the country due to new regulations, does not understand her and neither does her boyfriend. She leaves the world that she knows and starts a journey into the unknown.
Beg your pardon is based on interviews that Marianna Salzmann conduced with politicians of right-wing parties and people who are affected by the new European immigration act.
The premiere is the German contribution to the European postmigrant theatre network Europe Now.
